The results are in!

The RNG has declared that on Day 13 (OOC 3/25) Cat-Eyed Boy will kill Janet. The two players involved are free to thread out the action as they see fit, and may start whenever they choose. There's no need to wait until the 25th to start threading.

This Week's Happenings

Everything seems normal this week, with the exception of another unfamiliar person wandering around. At least this one is alive, unlike last week's mystery corpse, and friendly, unlike the greeter. In fact, he might try to introduce himself to everyone. Look for an NPC log to be posted sometime in the next few days.

The Forecast

It's clear and sunny in the courtyard, and the psychic atmosphere seems equally pleasant. That is, until it passes midnight on Day 13. That's when the murder mindset kicks in for the first time, and when they'll finally understand what that "reward" was for. Please refer to the murder and death page for information about what characters will experience.

IMPORTANT NOTE FROM THE MODS

We'd like to take this opportunity to clarify the rules; replying to each murder check-in is mandatory for AC. On this one, we forgot to post a definite end time, so we've chosen to overlook those who didn't get the information in. In the future, we'll post a defined end time on the check-in posts. Accidentally missing one check-in won't result in being immediately dropped from the game (provided you meet AC otherwise) but will count as a strike.

Welcome:

The room you appear in, ripped from wherever you had been a moment ago, is cold and uninteresting. White walls, tile floors, and nothing to look at save for the woman in generic business dress holding a clipboard. Stuck over her heart is a "Hello My Name Is" sticker decorated with little hearts and stars and proclaiming in several colors that her name is Erika. The friendliness of the sticker stands in sharp contrast to her personality. She hands you a room key and shoves you out the door with hardly a word.

Outside, you may find people who have just been through the same uninformative welcome, plus a few who may have been there slightly longer but likely won't have many more answers. Whatever you might think of the odd welcome, you get a distinct sense that it would be in your interest to get to know some of these people.

Entertainment options:

It seems the powers that be have paid some attention to their comment box since the last meet and greet. The DVD cases are all filled with different DVDs now, though they just seem to have expanded to a much larger collection of extremely mediocre romantic comedies. The video game selection still consists of one party game... Several different copies of the same party game.

Additionally a CD player and speaker system have been added alongside a cleared out part of the hobby room that might serve as a dance floor. Beside the CD player are a stack of CDs, most of which consist of what seem to be pop songs (there's likely something familiar to every character, no matter where they came from originally) all sung very enthusiastically by children. There's one CD in the mix that doesn't fit that mold, and it's... interesting.

A Bonding Exercise:

In the kitchen, you'll find a lot of supplies for making hot cocoa. Maybe whoever stocked the kitchen decided that would be a fun treat for everyone. Unfortunately, anyone attempting to make some for themselves will find that it comes out somehow odd. The taste is off, or maybe it tastes fine but cools off immediately. Luckily, there is a solution to the problem: you just have to get someone else to make it for you. For whatever reason, any cup of cocoa intended for someone other than the person making it will escape all the problems, and it will come out perfectly. Here's hoping that person will be nice enough to make you one in return.
